2 Killed, Others Injured in Shooting Incident in Idaho, US

Idaho: Two people were killed and several others injured in a shooting incident in the US state of Idaho.

According to Qatar News Agency, Idaho Governor Brad Little stated that several firefighters were attacked while trying to extinguish a blaze in the north of the state. He mentioned that the situation is still evolving and urged people to stay away from the area to allow security personnel and firefighters to do their work.

Local news reports, citing police scanners, indicated that several firefighters were shot. Idaho Sheriff Bob Norris confirmed that two people were killed and an unknown number were injured in the incident.

Shooting incidents are among the most pressing security and social crises in the United States, as the country experiences high rates of gun violence, along with frequent mass shootings, which have profound human, economic, and psychological impacts.

This situation is attributed to several factors, most notably the widespread availability of firearms among civilians and the significant disparity in firearm laws across states. It is estimated that US civilians own more than 390 million firearms, more than the country’s population, despite growing calls for stricter gun control legislation.
