Doha: The entries for the 2025 National Sports Day Award will remain open until July 31, the committee overseeing the nation-wide occasion announced Monday.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the committee said that 80 public and private agencies had submitted entries through organizing various sports and recreational activities, demonstrating a significant community engagement and concerted efforts to spread the culture of sports.

The winning entities will be announced at the Sports and Youth Excellence Award ceremony next September.

The committee urged all agencies nationwide to contribute to this national initiative aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles in society.

Executive Director of Qatar Sports for All Federation Abdullah Al Dosari, who is a member of the committee, said the award saw a great turnout since its launch, featuring an array of diverse sporting events and activities including running races, football, tennis, and volleyball, in addition to other recreational and sporting events.

Al Dosari added that participating entities can register their event details on the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ website. Entries will be evaluated no later than seven days before the start of the month following the event.
