23 Palestinians Martyred in Ongoing Israeli Shelling of Several Areas in Gaza Strip

Gaza strip: 23 Palestinians were killed and dozens more were injured Friday as a result of several raids and shelling carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on several areas in the Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, a correspondent reported, citing medical sources in the northern Gaza Strip, that three brothers were killed in an Israeli shelling that targeted a residential house in Jabalia Al Nazla, northern Gaza.

Additional raids by the occupation forces resulted in the deaths of four more individuals, including two children, and left others injured. These attacks targeted homes, tents, and a shelter in Gaza City, affecting neighborhoods such as Al Zeitoun in the east, Sheikh Radwan in the north, and the al-Shati refugee camp in the west.

The correspondent further stated that nine other martyrs were killed in Israeli shelling of aid seekers near Netzarim and Wadi Gaza in the central Gaza Strip. Airstrikes also targeted the remains of a previously bombed house in the Block 7 area of the al-Bureij refugee camp and a house in the city of Deir al-Balah.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces killed two aid seekers in the Al Shakoush area, northwest of Rafah. Additionally, five individuals were martyred in Israeli shelling targeting a group of citizens as they headed to inspect their homes in the center of Khan Yunis and in an Israeli airstrike on a house on Al Istabil Street in the Al Mawasi area, west of the city.

The recent escalation has increased the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, to 63,025 martyrs and 159,490 wounded. Since the renewed aggression on March 18, the death toll has reached 11,178 martyrs and 47,449 wounded.

The Israeli occupation army resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip after violating the ceasefire agreement on March 18, following a two-month hiatus. This resurgence of violence has targeted various areas of the Strip, which is already facing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy after 22 months of war.
