An earthquake measuring 5.2 magnitude on the Richter scale struck Thursday off the coast of the Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean. The US Geological Survey said that the quake occurred 123 km of Sola, Vanuatu, at a depth of 35 km. No casualties or material losses were reported. Vanuatu is an archipelago of volcanic origin that lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a zone of frequent seismic activity. Source: Qatar News Agency
