Gaza strip: At least 66 Palestinians, including 26 aid seekers, were martyred and dozens more injured on Tuesday in a series of Israeli occupation airstrikes targeting various areas across Gaza Strip.
According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources reported that civil defense teams recovered the body of a man in central Gaza, days after he went missing near a humanitarian aid distribution point on Salah Al Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza. Another person was martyred and several injured in an Israeli occupation strike on a civilian gathering south of Deir Al Balah.
Rescue teams also retrieved the bodies of three Palestinians from areas of Israeli incursion in southern Deir al-Balah, while one more was martyred in a strike near an aid distribution center north of Al Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that 77 Palestinians were martyred – five of whom were pulled from beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings – and 376 others were wounded in the past 24 hours alone.
This latest escalation comes amid a deepening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, where the population is facing what UN and international agencies described as a full-scale famine. Since early March, the Israeli entity enforced a complete closure of all border crossings, blocking the entry of food and medical supplies. This has led to the collapse of aid distribution efforts, closure of community kitchens and food banks, and a total absence of basic commodities in local markets.
The Ministry of Health previously announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression, now in its 21st month, has risen to 59,106, with 142,511 injured.
