Federal Police forces arrested a drug trafficking gang consisting of 3 defendants and seized more than 6,000 narcotic pills in their possession in Baghdad.

A statement by the Federal Police Command stated, “In a qualitative operation characterized by accuracy and speed in implementation, a force from the Fifth Brigade, Second Division, Federal Police, with a detachment from the Brigade’s Intelligence and a detachment from the Karkh Narcotics Directorate, was able to arrest 3 defendants wanted in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 (Drugs) in the (Al-Hurriyah 11) area, and more than 6,000 narcotic pills, a Kalashnikov rifle, a pistol, and 38,300,000 Iraqi dinars were seized in their possession.
