Dozens of residents and civil activists organized in Basra, on Friday afternoon, a protest gathering against the violation of the sovereignty and lands of Iraq, amid strict security measures.

The demonstrators, standing in Freedom Square, demanded the redrawing of the borders between Iraq and Kuwait and cancelling of the agreements that affect the sovereignty of Iraq and which were signed and ratified by the successive governments of the country.
