A security source announced the death of a member and the injury of another one following an armed confrontation with a drug dealer in Abu al-Khasib district, south of Basra.

The source stated that two members of the Anti-Narcotics Division were shot by a drug dealer while on duty in the Abu Al-Khasib district. One of them died and the other was injured.

He added that the security services pursued the accused and were able to arrest one of them, while the other, the killer, fled on a bicycle, and the search for him is still underway./End
