Detachments of the Baghdad Anti-Crime Directorate arrested a person accused of selling counterfeit $100 foreign currency in the capital.
A statement by the Directorate stated: “Detachments from the Al Karama Anti-Crime Office arrested a suspect accused of selling counterfeit $1,600 to a citizen in a commercial market east of the capital, Baghdad.”
He added: “The Directorate’s detachments arrested several other defendants wanted in various criminal cases on the Karkh and Rusafa sides, and legal measures were taken against the arrested defendants and brought to justice.”
