The Directorate of Intelligence and Security overthrew a terrorist element and two drug dealers in Baghdad. The directorate stated in a statement: 'After the availability of accurate intelligence information indicating the presence of a terrorist element fleeing from Diyala Governorate, and using a fictitious name to mislead the security forces, the detachments of Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Ministry of Defense began to match the information, and with a tight ambush they were able to arrest him in one of the areas of the capital.' On the other hand, the directorate's detachments arrested two drug dealers and promoters of narcotic drugs east of the capital, issuing two arrest warrants against them in accordance with the provisions of the article related to (drugs), and various narcotic substances and tools used in abuse were found in their possession.
