A woman committed suicide this evening, Thursday, in her home by burning herself after pouring gasoline due to a family dispute in the western Hamza district, south of Hillah.

The Director of Media for Babylon Police, Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, said, “A report reached the police about a woman committing suicide by setting herself on fire in her home in the western Hamza district, south of Hillah.

He added that the police transferred the body to the forensic medicine department and that an investigation was opened into the incident to determine the reasons for the suicide.
