Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital Offers Wide Diversity of Medical Care Services

Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital (AAH), the second-largest medical facility run by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has succeeded in offering the latest groundbreaking innovations and technologies in health care to ensure provision of a world-class health care for all patients, thus making the facility a role model for state-of-the-art health care as one of the modern hospitals within a group of HMC’s medical facilities.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) during a field trip organized by HMC to inspect the cutting-edge technologies leveraged by AAH, a coterie of medical practitioners at AAH emphasized that inpatients and outpatients continue to receive high-level of health care without disruption during the period of renovation project of the hospi
tal.

Acting executive director at AAH Hussein Ali Al Ishaq, said during a brief period the hospital has succeeded in modernizing numerous medical sections which broadly minimized laborious tasks imposed on Hamad General Hospital which is currently embarking on a renovation project that will result in closing some sections.

Al Ishaq highlighted that the hospital is capable of affording health care to the public based on the best potential available, affirming that the hospitals capacity includes over 300 beds. He highlighted that during the past periods, the occupancy rate reached between 60% to 65%.

For his part, Medical Director of AAH Dr. Ibrahim Fawzy emphasized that there is a significant number of medical practitioners at this medical facility operating in all medical specialties and are always ready to receive all cases from various regions state-wide, asserting that all general medicine specialties are available, whether they are in kidneys, lungs, cardiology, or other specialties.

ted that all surgical departments with their multiple specialties, along with emergency trauma departments are always on alert to handle all surgical procedures, emphasizing that the hospital is fully outfitted with world-class medical equipment, alongside critical sections such as radiology, laboratory tests, and medical personnel.

He added that a highest level of coordination is ongoing with Hamad General Hospital regarding all medical cases admitted to AAH, indicating that all essential requirements are provided for patients.

Head of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at AAH Dr. Najah Al Junaidi stated that the section handles a variety of cases at a rate ranging between 5 and 12 births on daily basis, noting the increasing number of these cases since the relocation plan from Al Khor hospital to AAH due to the record turnout from visitors to the new hospital.

She pointed out that delivery rooms are capacious to offer pregnant women a chance to practice required kinetic activities ahead of givin
g birth, highlighting that all postnatal rooms are single occupancy to provide the primary comfort for pregnant women.

Head of the radiology department at AAH Dr. Riham Al Sadiq, indicated that the department offers all diagnostic and therapeutic services for all patients. She emphasized that health services are provided for inpatients, outpatient clinics, and emergencies around the clock.

Since the inauguration of the department at AAH, it has been offering over 26 medical testing and minimizing hard slogs on the other radiology departments, Al Sadiq outlined, adding that all state-of-the-art equipment, including X-ray and ultrasound chambers are available.

Senior emergency consultant for adults at AAH Dr. Rana Al-Sayed said that since the inauguration of the emergency section at the hospital on Oct.11, 2024, the medical facility has been receiving cases at a rate ranging between 15 and 20. She indicated that the number of recovery rooms reaches 12 beds, outfitted with high-level of medical equipment to p
rovide a high standard of medical care, highlighting that the emergency department for men and women each includes 29 beds to accommodate urgent cases within the hospital.

The hospital is located in a perfect site in Tinbak area between Al Khor and Lusail and positions itself as a premium destination for wide spectrum of population in Al Shamal and Doha regions.
