Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash discussed Thursday with Honorary Consul of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Muhammad Muslim Al-Droubi ways to enhance cooperation in the health sector between the two countries. During the meeting, al-Ghabbash highlighted the depth and strength of relations between the two countries, noting the importance of cooperation and coordination in the field of health, which contributes to developing this sector in both countries. In turn, Dr. Al-Daroubi pointed out to the distinguished relations between Syria and Sri Lanka at all levels and the mutual respect and support. Al-Daroubi expressed his hope for further cooperation between the two countries, especially in the health sector and the exchange of medical expertise. In a related context, al-Ghabbash discussed with the Malaysian Honorary Consul in Syria, Dr. Samir Al-Kour, the importance of developing coordination and cooperation between the two countries in the health field, especially with regard to medical equipment, indicating his country's support to the Syrian people during the catastrophic earthquake by sending humanitarian and medical aid. Al-Kour stressed the keenness to strengthen ties between Syria and Malaysia in all fields, especially the health sector, and to expand the circle of cooperation in the scientific and research fields related to the aforementioned sector.
