The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, affirmed today, Tuesday, his support for the government’s measures in its service projects, indicating the importance of maintaining stability in Iraq.

The media office of the head of the National Wisdom Movement said in a statement: “Al-Hakim met with the Ambassador of the United States of America in Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, and discussed with her bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them.”

Al-Hakim stressed, “The importance of cooperation under the umbrella of the strategic framework agreement through training, exchange of experiences, intelligence, and clear and transparent plans supported by specific timetables.”

He stressed “the need for bilateral cooperation between Baghdad and Washington to extend to include the economic, cultural and educational aspects,” expressing “support for the government’s measures in its service projects, especially its clear efforts in the field of energy.”

He also stressed “the need for Iraq to assume its regional role and maintain close relations with its regional neighbors and international friends,” stressing “the importance of maintaining stability in Iraq.”

“The achievements that have been achieved represent a pressure factor to transform the current stability into a permanent one,” he added.

On the issue of the upcoming local elections, Al-Hakim explained that they “represent an important pillar of stability and the consolidation of democracy through the participation of the people in them and the choice of those who represent them in local governments,” stressing “the importance of competition on the basis of service programs and the needs of the governorates.”/ End
