Baghdad, The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali, discussed today, Tuesday, with the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, the cessation of the Zionist aggression against Gaza.

Sheikh Khazali's office said in a statement: "The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, and discussed with her the catastrophic situation in Gaza, and the necessity of stopping the barbaric aggression of the Zionist entity."

Sheikh Al-Khazali renewed Iraq's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, and appreciated the position of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, who clearly condemned the genocide practiced by the usurping entity against civilians, and its transformation of Gaza into a large cemetery for children, and not to procrastinate in condemning these crimes, and to take a strict stance towards them.

During the meeting, Sheikh Khazali stressed the necessity of respecting Iraqi sovereignty, taking into account the will of the Iraqi people, and the withdrawal of foreign forces from the country.
