Doha: Al Sadd SC announced on Sunday the renewal of Brazilian midfielder Guilherme Torres’ contract for an additional season, extending his stay with the club’s first team until 2026.
According to Qatar News Agency, Torres originally joined Al Sadd in August 2020 from Greek side Olympiacos on a three-year deal, which was later extended for two more seasons. He began his professional career with Portuguesa in Brazil in 2009 and went on to play in Europe for Udinese in Italy, Deportivo La Coruna in Spain, and Olympiacos in Greece before signing with Al Sadd in 2020.
Al Sadd clinched the Qatar Stars League (QSL) title in the 2024-2025 season.
