Al Shamal: Al Shamal SC announced on Sunday the extension of contracts for first-team goalkeepers Abdalla El Rady and Babacar Seck, keeping them with the club until 2027.

According to Qatar News Agency, the club’s statement highlighted that the decision was made in recognition of the goalkeepers’ impressive performances last season and their key contributions, alongside their teammates, to the team’s positive results.

The contract renewals align with Al Shamal’s broader strategy to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season. This strategy also includes the recent signing of Egyptian international Akram Tawfik from Al Ahli on a contract extending until 2028, as announced during a press conference held yesterday.

Al Shamal concluded the previous season in sixth place in the Qatar Stars League with 32 points, narrowly missing the fifth spot behind Al Rayyan by just one point.
