Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed that the results of the investigations into the Hamdaniyah fire will clarify those who were negligent, as it was previously clear who were negligent in constructing a building devoid of safety conditions.
Al-Sudani said during his visit to the Archbishopric of Mar Behnam and Sarah in the Al-Hamdaniya district (Baghdida) in Nineveh Governorate: In the legal description, there is negligence regarding a building built in violation, and there was supposed to be action by the head of the administrative unit and the concerned departments.
The Prime Minister added: There will be no tolerance for any case of negligence by any state employee, and this is the government’s approach.
He continued: The injured will be transferred outside Iraq, based on the medical reports issued by the Ministry of Health.
He said: We will use all powers to care for the families of the victims and the injured and compensate them for the effects of the painful accident.
He added: This incident is an occasion for unity, solidarity, and strengthening the values of coexistence that unite us, and we must stand in solidarity with all the elements of strength we have.
