Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani condoled today, Friday, the death of the poet Karim Al-Iraqi.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office said: “With hearts that believe in the judgment of Almighty God, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani extends his condolences to the cultural and artistic family on the passing of the poet Karim Al-Iraqi, following an incurable illness, to God we belong and to Him we shall return.

The statement added, “With this loss, the Iraqi cultural community and artistic scene have lost a generous poet who left an important impact on the artistic memory of Iraqis.”

According to the statement, the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Transport to complete the procedures related to transporting the body of the deceased to be buried in Iraq.
