Baghdad, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani announced that this year will witness the completion of all works of the Al-Nusoor Square Development Project, stressing that the final stages of the project have been reached.
Al-Sudani said in a speech, during his field follow-up of the project: “Al-Nusoor Square Development Project represents a qualitative leap in terms of project implementation, and there is credibility in the implementation of projects and the citizen has begun to feel it,” directing the opening of every section or bridge in Al-Nusoor Square Development Project, immediately upon completion of its implementation.
He added: “The traffic congestion relief projects came as a result of an urgent and necessary need for the people of the capital, Baghdad.”
The Prime Minister pointed out that: “Some parties are trying to belittle these important projects through which we are trying to solve the suffering of the people of the capital, Baghdad.”
He continued: “The large population in Baghdad requ
ires the provision of additional services,” indicating: “The new Ali Al-Wardi residential city will be the largest city in the history of the state.”
It is worth noting that the development project of Al-Nusoor Square includes the construction of (3) tunnels for the passage of cars and their approaches, to connect five main streets southwest of Baghdad, with depths reaching (16) meters.
The project also includes the construction of two bridges to connect (Damascus Street) and (Mohammed Mahdi Al-Jawahiri Street), and the development of the bridge located in Qahtaan Square, reaching the Umm Al-Taboul intersection.
