Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf discussed, in a phone call Thursday, with British Minister of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Lord Tariq Ahmad the latest developments in the besieged Gaza Strip and the efforts made to reduce the pace of escalation and allow the opening of humanitarian corridors.
The Algerian Foreign Minister stressed the necessity of reviving the political track to address the essence of the entire conflict and enable the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
During the call, they also reviewed the bilateral issues, most notably the second session of the strategic dialogue between the two countries scheduled to be held in mid-November, in addition to the exchange of views on developments in the Sahel region, especially the crises in Mali and Niger.
