The Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) General Assembly has okayed appointing Assistant Secretary-General of QATAR Table Tennis Association, Ali Sultan Al Muftah, as ATTU’s Assistant Secretary-General.
Al Muftah is a renowned, gulf and Arab administrative expert who currently serves as Chairman of the GCC table tennis organizing committee.
President of the Qatari, Arab, and Asian Federation Khalil bin Ahmad Al Muhannadi chaired the ATTU’s meeting held in Pyeongchang-gun City, South Korea, in the presence of members and representatives of Federations under the ATTU.
The meeting produced a host important decisions concerning the game and its future in Asia during the upcoming years, in addition to discussing the agenda that includes an array of topics related to ATTU’s championships and performance reports.
The meeting discussed the calendar of remaining events for this year, represented by the Asian Cup, which was previously approved to be organized in China during the last quarter of 2023 and decided to organize ATTU championship 2024. The meeting also decided to organize the Asian Youth Championship in China and the upcoming edition of Asian championship in Japan.
