Aman Center Completes Series of Campaigns for Victims of Family Violence.

Doha: The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (Aman), a crucial entity under the Qatar Social Work Foundation and affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, has successfully concluded a series of awareness campaigns designed to support women, children, and victims of family violence. These initiatives were strategically aligned with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which is observed annually on November 25.

According to Qatar News Agency, these campaigns were conducted in collaboration with various organizations, including Al Hazm Mall management, Hamad Medical Corporation’s Emergency Department at Hamad General Hospital, and Hyatt Plaza management. Sheikh Dr. Nasser bin Ahmed Al-Thani, the Executive Director of Aman Center, highlighted that this year’s strategy involved setting up informational and awareness booths at multiple locations. This initiative was carried out in partnership with several security, educational, health, religious, and so
cial organizations to educate a broader segment of the public on social protection issues for women, children, and victims of family violence. The campaigns successfully reached over a thousand beneficiaries.

The Executive Director emphasized the center’s dedication to increasing community awareness and education regarding social protection issues for women and children. Aman Center plays a pivotal role in organizing awareness campaigns and workshops for school, kindergarten, and university students, along with providing protection and rehabilitation services. Sheikh Dr. Nasser bin Ahmed Al-Thani pointed out that the center receives cases through its main access channels, including its headquarters, branch offices in security and health sectors, social media accounts, and a 24/7 hotline (919). Additionally, the Aman electronic service offers digital applications.

Among these applications is “Help me,” which is focused on child protection against harm, and “Consult Aman,” the first application for women in Q
atar offering confidential social, psychological, and legal advisory services from qualified Aman Center staff. The Executive Director further explained that the center provides integration and continuous care services by reintegrating targeted groups with their families. He emphasized that all services offered by Aman Center are provided free of charge to everyone residing in Qatar.
