Israeli radio announced that one person was killed and several wounded as a result of rockets falling from the Gaza Strip towards a number of Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv.

News Agencies reported that the resistance factions continued to fire rockets towards Israeli cities, while sirens continued to sound in southern Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Beersheba and Arad, as a result of the widespread missile bombardment from the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military Spokesman said that the Iron Dome was activated and sirens sounded following the bombing that targeted a large number of towns from south of Tel Aviv to the north of the Gaza border and the settlements near Gaza, Beersheba and Arad in the Negev.

Occupation Army Radio reported what it described as preliminary information about an attempt by Palestinians to infiltrate from the Gaza Strip, after local sources reported that the Palestinian resistance was engaged in armed clashes with the occupation forces at several points on the eastern border of the Strip.

Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement that its Chief of Staff, Muhammad Al-Deif, will shortly deliver a statement to the Palestinian people and the Arab and Islamic nation.

While the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense will hold a session to evaluate the situation with senior security officials
