Doha: The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) announced the launch of the inaugural Qatar Real Estate Award, an initiative that aims to honor excellence and innovation in the real estate sector in the State of Qatar. The award seeks to strengthen the nation’s position as a global investment destination in alignment with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030).
According to Qatar News Agency, the award is open for participation by real estate developers, consultancy offices, and contractors who are invited to submit their projects that reflect leadership and quality in design and execution. October 7 is the final date for nominations, and each project is required to submit an independent nomination form. All submissions must be provided in both Arabic and English, adhering strictly to the deadline.
The award encompasses four categories: quality of life in residential projects, sustainability aspects, economic and investment feasibility, and office and commercial environments. For the best residential real estate project award, applicants must focus on quality-of-life elements and services provided to residents, including project classification by building height and green space percentage.
Submissions for the best sustainable urban development project award require detailed architectural plans, construction material specifications, sustainability certifications, and reports on energy and water efficiency. The projects should also describe smart building systems and indicate readiness for future technologies.
The best commercial or office real estate project category demands a description of the work environment, digital infrastructure, and proximity to business hubs. It also requires details on interior design flexibility and integration with public amenities.
For the best real estate investment award, applicants need to submit an economic feasibility study, financial performance indicators, and expected ROI, alongside explanations of the project’s market contribution and job creation.
With these comprehensive requirements, the award covers environmental, social, and economic dimensions to recognize projects that deliver sustainable and inclusive value to Qatar’s real estate sector. The announcement precedes the third Qatar Real Estate Forum, organized by Aqarat, scheduled for Oct. 14 to 16 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
