Doha: The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has announced that the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department will conduct the electronic sorting process to select applicants to perform Hajj this year, 1446 AH, on Wednesday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that following the sorting process, successful applicants will receive approval notifications via text messages (SMS). These messages are intended to facilitate the next steps, enabling the approved applicants to contact and register with the offices of the approved Hajj campaigns and complete the necessary procedures.
The Ministry highlighted that approval messages would be sent over a week, providing a limited timeframe for registration. Approved candidates must register with one of the recognized campaigns listed in the electronic Hajj and Umrah Affairs Management System within this week. The Ministry further urged selected individuals to review the prices and services offered by these campaigns through the official website:
www.hajj.gov.qa.
The Ministry reported that a total of 12,727 applications were registered in the Hajj system for this year’s pilgrimage. Additionally, it invited both those who have registered to perform Hajj and the general public to reach out to the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department via their hotline, 132, for any queries or feedback.
