Detachments of the Baghdad Crime Control Directorate arrested a mobile phone thief from the hands of citizens in a fraudulent manner.

A statement by the Directorate stated: A force from Al-Habibiya Office for Combating Crime arrested an accused of stealing the phones of citizens with vehicles and bicycles by renting them and requesting the phone under the pretext of making an emergency phone call, then he runs away quickly between the streets and the crowded with pedestrians and cars, and after receiving information that these incidents are repeated in the same manner, a work team was formed to collect information that resulted in finding and arresting the accused, and upon in-depth investigation with him, he openly admitted that he had carried out many thefts in crowded areas of the capital, Baghdad.
