BUJUMBURA: Burundi’s Foreign Minister Albert Shingiro met with his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf on Thursday to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two nations. The meeting, held during Attaf’s visit to Burundi, focused on strengthening diplomatic and economic relations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion between the two foreign ministers also touched upon several issues concerning the African continent. The dialogue underscored the importance of collaboration on regional matters, reflecting both countries’ commitment to addressing shared challenges across Africa.
In addition to the meeting with Shingiro, Foreign Minister Attaf delivered a message from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye. The message emphasized the need to further develop and enhance the relationship between Algeria and Burundi, signaling a mutual interest in deepening ties and cooperation.
