H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has met with Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson African Union (AU) Commission, in Addis Ababa, on the sidelines of his official visit to Ethiopia.
The meeting tackled the distinguished UAE-African relations and means of enhancing and strengthening them to help achieve partnership with the African Union countries at all levels.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressed the UAE’s desire to further develop and strengthen bilateral relations with all African Union countries and to develop aspects of joint cooperation in various fields.
The AU official welcomed the visit of the UAE Foreign Minister to the headquarters of the African Union, highlighting the importance of strengthening cooperation. He also commended the UAE’s leading role in supporting African Union countries.
The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Ghazi Abdullah Salem Al Mehri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ethiopia.
