Doha: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney welcomed the agreement on the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan: In a post on X, the Canadian Prime Minister said, “Congratulations to President Trump for his essential leadership and thank you to Qatar, Egypt and Turkiye for their tireless work to support the negotiations.”

According to Qatar News Agency, US President Donald Trump announced earlier today that Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) had signed the first phase of the peace plan and expressed his gratitude to the mediators from the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Turkiye.
