The Diyala Operations Sector Command in the Popular Mobilization announced the implementation of a raid and search operation in the mountain range area south of the Narin River in Diyala Governorate. The Operations Command stated in a statement that "a force from the Operations Command and its departments and affiliated brigades and classes and services of the Authority, with the support of the army aviation, began a raid and search operation south of the Narin River" indicating that "the operation aims to maintain security in the Diyala areas by pursuing ISIS remnants and eliminating their capabilities."
