Colonists Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque, Perform Talmudic Rituals in Al-Aqsa’s Courtyards

Israeli colonists stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday morning, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that more than 519 settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on the fifth day of the “Sukkot” holiday and performed Talmudic rituals amid tight restrictions and harsh military measures imposed by the occupation authorities.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) intensified their military measures in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds), closed the road leading to the Mughrabi Gate from the Lions’ Gate, and obstructed the residents’ access to Al-Aqsa Mosque to secure the colonists’ incursions.

The occupation authorities exploit Jewish holidays and occasions to impose collective punishment on Palestinians by closing checkpoints, tightening military measures, restricting the movement of Palestinians and preventing them from reaching holy sites. Meanwhile, they facilitate colonists’ incursions into Palestinian cities, as
well as Islamic and historical sites in the West Bank, particularly the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil and Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds.
