Department of Meteorology Warns of Poor Horizontal Visibility

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding weather conditions inshore until 6:00 pm on Sunday, highlighting that certain areas will experience misty to foggy conditions initially, with moderate temperatures expected during the day along with scattered clouds at times. The department has specifically cautioned about poor horizontal visibility in some areas, particularly during the early part of the day.

According to Qatar News Agency, the offshore weather is anticipated to be hazy at times, accompanied by scattered clouds. Inshore wind conditions are expected to be variable at less than 3 KT initially, shifting to mainly northeasterly-southeasterly at 3-12 KT. Offshore winds will range from northeasterly to southeasterly at speeds of 3-13 KT.

The sea state will vary, with inshore conditions ranging from 1 to 2 feet and offshore conditions from 1 to 3 feet. Visibility is expected to differ significantly between inshore and offshore areas, with inshore visibility ranging between 4-9/2 km and offshore visibility expected to be between 4-9 km.
