Department of Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind and High Sea Tonight.

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning of strong winds and high seas expected tonight, as detailed in their daily weather report. The forecast predicts mild conditions with some clouds starting from midnight on Saturday, extending to offshore areas where scattered clouds are expected at times.

According to Qatar News Agency, winds inshore will be northerly to northeasterly, ranging from 5 to 15 knots. Offshore, winds will shift to northwesterly, with speeds between 12 to 22 knots and gusts reaching up to 27 knots. Visibility is anticipated to range between 5 to 10 kilometers.

The sea state is expected to be moderate inshore, with waves between 2 to 4 feet. Offshore, wave heights will vary from 4 to 7 feet, surging up to 8 feet in northern areas initially. High and low tide timings for various regions, including Doha, Messaid, Wakrah, Al Khor, Ruwais, and Dukhan, have been provided to ensure preparedness for maritime activities.
