Doha Institute for Graduate Studies announced the admission results for master’s programs for the academic year 2023-2024, after a competitive evaluation process of more than 14,000 admission applications from various Arab and foreign countries.
The total number of students admitted this year reached 308 male and female students, with the percentage of Qatari students reaching 35 percent.
The accepted students are divided into 19 master’s programs offered by the institute, with 207 of both genders in the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and 101 in the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy.
In a statement, Dean of Students Affairs at DI Dr. Ibrahim Fraihat said that the applications for enrollment in all the institute’s programs were subjected to a rigorous competitive assessment of the abilities of the applicants, which included conducting personal interviews by the institute’s professors.
There are many evaluation indicators for applicants, the most important of which are the outstanding academic achievements of students at the undergraduate level, research capabilities, fluency in the Arabic and English languages, their culture in the field of specialization, and their contribution to community service, Dr. Fraihat added.
According to the academic calendar of the institute, the academic year 2023-2024 will start on Aug. 20, while those who wish to admit for the academic year 2024-2025 will be able to apply starting from Sep. 1, 2023. (QNA)
