Diyala University discusses with the Iranian Al-Zahra University ways to activate the scientific MoU between them

Diyala University discussed with the Iranian Al-Zahra University ways to activate the scientific memorandum of understanding that was signed between the two sides on the sidelines of the Science Week activities in Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, President of the University of Diyala, said during the meeting, which took place via a closed electronic circuit: ‘We are happy and we are communicating with the presidency of Al-Zahra University to work to activate the terms of the memorandum of understanding by forming joint committees that follow up on implementation mechanisms in a way that ensures benefit for both sides, especially with regard to academic and research cooperation, exchange of scholarships, and provision of service to the community through the establishment of joint scientific activities that touch on community issues.’

He added: ‘Al-Zahra University, with the scientific competencies it possesses in its colleges corresponding to the colleges of our university, wil
l enhance the possibility of implementing an intensive joint scientific program,’ pointing out that the coming days will witness the implementation of these provisions in accordance with the contexts and controls in force in the two universities.

For her part, Zahraa Nazim Bakai, President of Al-Zahra University, welcomed this communication by the University of Diyala to invest in commonalities in order to implement the terms of the memorandum of understanding, stressing the keenness of the Presidency of Al-Zahra University to hold joint activities and receive students and researchers in the corresponding colleges, expressing her pleasure at the extent of academic cooperation from the University of Diyala and the mutual visits that will result from the meeting between the two sides to achieve positive results and agreements that will leave a significant impact on all academic aspects.
