Doha to Host Global AI Summit – Qatar 2025

Doha: The Global AI Summit – Qatar 2025 (WSAI 2025), organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in partnership with InspiredMinds, will commence on Tuesday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, under the theme “Building the Future of AI Together”. Under the auspices of He Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai, the event will be Held on 9-10 December 2025.

According to Qatar News Agency, WSAI 2025 aims to advance global dialogue on the future of artificial intelligence, highlight solutions supporting sustainable development, foster strategic partnerships, and empower national talent. It serves as a platform for global technology companies, experts, researcHers, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers to discuss AI’s future, applications, and societal impact. The Summit aligns with Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030, which focuses on building a knowledge-based, innovation-driven digital economy.

Director of Digital Innovation at MCIT, Eman Al Kuwari, stated that the Summit extends Qatar’s efforts to host major technology events, uniting global experts under one roof. It is part of a broader ecosystem that reinforces Qatar’s position as a regional hub for cutting-edge technologies and global knowledge. The goal is to build a digital environment serving the region and providing solutions for key sectors, driving digital transformation through international partnerships.

Managing Director of InspiredMinds, Maisie Holder, added that bringing the second edition of World Summit AI to Doha is a significant step in uniting the global AI ecosystem in Qatar. The collaboration with MCIT creates a platform for breakthrough thinking and technologies defining the future. Qatar is becoming a magnet for global AI talent and innovation, and the Summit accelerates this momentum.

This edition’s program offers a compreHensive agenda across four main tracks addressing themes shaping AI’s future. The first track, Mainstage, focuses on frontier AI, regulatory frameworks, and next-generation AI infrastructure impacting economic and service sectors. The second track explores Accelerating AI Adoption in government and enterprise, featuring real-world use cases and insights into AI’s role in transforming business efficiency and energy systems.

The third track presents advanced technical sessions, led by researcHers and global experts, showcasing scientific and technological advancements in large language models, deep learning, and next-generation AI architecture. The fourth track, Global AI Edge, examines emerging trends in responsible AI development, including a HealthTech AI Hackathon with Qatar University.

The Summit is expected to attract over 6,000 participants, including nearly 100 speakers from government, global companies, academia, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The two-day program includes keynotes, mainstage sessions, thematic tracks, workshops, networking activities, and high-level roundtables for policymakers and executives.

A key feature is the Qatar Pavilion, showcasing AI-powered initiatives from government entities and startups presenting digital solutions in education, Health, energy, and public services. The Pavilion highlights the GovAI Program, a national framework for accelerating AI adoption in the public sector through global partnerships and a development model focused on service delivery and digital transformation.

WSAI 2025 will also announce strategic partnerships and agreements between government entities, the private sector, and global technology companies. These collaborations are expected to open avenues for international collaboration, expertise exchange, and the development of initiatives enhancing the AI ecosystem’s capabilities.

This year’s edition builds on the momentum of the inaugural World Summit AI – Qatar 2024, which featured 76 speakers, over 7 thematic areas across 4 stages, and welcomed more than 3,000 attendees, with 44 percent being international participants. The previous edition also saw the launch of the Government AI Program and the unveiling of Fanar, the Arab Large Language Model, with participation from 27 partners and 25 startups showcasing innovations to a global audience.
