Earthquake Strikes Dehdez City in Southwestern Iran

Dehdez: A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Dehdez in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan Province on Saturday. The seismic event occurred in the afternoon at a depth of 8 km and was located 13 km from Dehdez city.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Iranian Seismological Center reported the details of the quake. Iranian authorities have confirmed that there have been no reports of casualties or property damage stemming from the earthquake.

The region experienced another seismic event last Wednesday when an earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale hit the city of Shush in Khuzestan Province. Similar to the recent quake in Dehdez, the Shush earthquake caused no damage.
