Doha: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi discussed the current regional situation and strengthening bilateral relations in a phone call Wednesday with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. During the call, the two sides reviewed ways to de-escalate the situation in the region and resolve existing conflicts, efforts to achieve a ceasefire on the Gaza Strip, and ensuring the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid.

The call also discussed developments in Libya, emphasizing the need to maintain peace and stability in the country and continue to advance the political process, leading to the formation of a unified government responsible for organizing presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously.
The call also addressed the issue of demarcating maritime borders in the Eastern Mediterranean, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and joint cooperation.
