Egypt: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi engaged in discussions with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday, concentrating on crucial efforts to secure an immediate and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The discussions also emphasized the necessity for the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the region and the urgent need to expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to the affected areas.
According to Qatar News Agency, the dialogue between the two leaders extended beyond immediate ceasefire concerns. They deliberated on the State of Palestine’s strategic efforts to implement the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) as per the General Assembly resolution. Additionally, the discussions highlighted the significance of organizing an international peace conference and continuing efforts to secure full membership for Palestine in the United Nations.
