Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, during a phone call on Thursday.

According to Qatar News Agency, El Sisi described the decision to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip as a historic achievement, emphasizing that it was accomplished within the framework of the US President’s commitment, efforts, and genuine pursuit of peace.

El Sisi extended an invitation to the US President to participate in a celebration in Egypt marking the signing of the ceasefire agreement, highlighting its historic significance.

The US President welcomed the invitation and expressed his satisfaction with the achievement.
