Prospects of propelling economic cooperation between the UAE and Poland were the main topic of discussions as Mohammed Sharaf Al Hashemi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Economic and Commercial Affairs, met Deputy Minister for Polish Diplomacy, Maciej Lang, here recently.
“There are promising prospects of intensifying cooperation between the two sides,” said Al Hashmi, noting that Poland boasts significant potential in areas of agriculture, food industry and other fields from which the UAE can benefit.
“There is an excellent atmosphere for a political and economic dialogue between Poland and the United Arab Emirates. It’s a solid base to build on,” said Lang during the meeting.
The two officials met during the 1st Polish-Emirati Economic Forum in Warsaw, which Al Hashemi commended as instrumental to reinforcing economic cooperation between the two sides.
“We consider the United Arab Emirates as a trading hub, a gate to the markets of the Middle East, Asia and Africa,” said Lang.
The meeting provided an opportunity to familiarize Emirati investors with Poland’s investment possibilities, including its major infrastructure projects, and to inform them about plans to organize Warsaw Humanitarian Expo 2019.
The discussion also covered Polish preparations for EXPO 2020 Dubai.
