Istanbul (NINA) – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed that ignoring the existence and rights of the Palestinians, and practicing oppression and injustice against them did not and will not bring peace to Israel.

The Turkish Foreign Minister said in a joint press conference held today with his Danish counterpart, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, following their discussions in the Turkish capital, Ankara: “All of humanity stands at a crossroads in Gaza. Either a great war will break out there and spread throughout the world and expand, or a great peace will be achieved.”

Fidan indicated that he informed his Danish counterpart that Turkey does not classify the Hamas movement as a terrorist organization as it is part of the Palestinian state and a political party in the state system.
