The General Authority for Customs announced, today, Friday, that it had thwarted the smuggling of (300) Visa cards in the possession of a traveler who was intending to leave the country at Najaf Airport.

The customs media stated in a statement, “The process was carried out through careful inspection and follow-up by the customs authority, as it was hidden inside cigarette packets belonging to the traveler.”

The statement added, “The operation was carried out in cooperation with the customs police and support services.”
