The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, today, Saturday, a mechanism for granting entry visas to visitors from Pakistan, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Yemen to perform the Arbaeen visit for free.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said in a statement: “Our missions will grant visitors from Pakistan, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Yemen entry visas to the Arbaeen visit for free and through any Iraqi mission,” noting that “visitors from Pakistan are granted visas through our embassy in Islamabad for free.”
He added, “Our missions in Tehran, Kermanshah, and Ahwaz will grant visas to visitors from Pakistan and Afghanistan free of charge,” stressing, “Our missions in India (Delhi and Mumbai) will grant Indian visitors a travel visa, and the officially prescribed wages will be collected.”
He pointed out, “All applicants from the above countries will be through tourism companies registered with the Iraqi Tourism Authority,” noting that “the religious travel visa sticker will be approved.”
He pointed out, “Visitors from Lebanon will be granted free travel visas through our embassy in Beirut.”
