Bethlehem – Ma’an – Former Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, Ofer Shelah, said that most of the Israeli public does not trust the political establishment, the army, and the media.
He added, “The army knew in advance the truth about the necessarily limited achievements of the battle in Gaza.”
He stressed, “The army developed and implemented a plan to ensure that there will be no more than a limited achievement in Gaza.”
He stressed, “The army is now trying to promote a major victory in Gaza, mainly so that they do not tell it to move to Lebanon.”
He continued, “The Israeli army, which has been languishing in Gaza for 8 months, cannot resolve a war against Hezbollah in a short period.”
