Baghdad: Four earthquakes were recorded over the past 24 hours in Iraq, the Iraqi Meteorology Authority said today.
According to Qatar News Agency, the authority stated that the tremors occurred near the Iraqi-Iranian border, specifically in the areas of Halabja in Sulaymaniyah and Khanaqin in Diyala, along with earthquakes inside Iranian territory.
The report detailed that the magnitudes of the four quakes ranged between 2.8 and 3.4 on the Richter scale, indicating seismic activity in the region.
