Doha: French analysts and experts have affirmed that the Israeli attack targeting residential headquarters of several Hamas leaders in Doha on Tuesday is unjustifiable and contradicts all international conventions, treaties, and diplomatic norms.
According to Qatar News Agency, the analysts stressed that such “aggressive acts” committed by the Israeli occupation at this critical time undermine the peace process and inflame tensions in the Middle East. They highlighted that Qatar is known for its diplomatic efforts rooted in respect, cooperation, solidarity, and peace. As such, Qatar deserves recognition, such as the Nobel Peace Prize, rather than being subjected to such attacks.
Yves Sintomer, a strategic political analyst specializing in French and European affairs, stated that condemning the Israeli attack on Doha is the least any rational, peace-loving person can do. He added that Israel’s actions are unjustifiable and contradict international treaties and diplomatic norms. Sintomer emphasized the need for the international community to review mechanisms for upholding international law and preventing further violations.
Jean-Bernard Veron, a strategic expert in international relations and former director of the Africa and Middle East region at the French Development Agency, condemned the attack as a continuation of Israel’s disregard for international law. He warned that continued violations could lead to ongoing conflicts and violence in the region.
Dr. Camille Sari, a financial and economic analyst at Sorbonne University, described the Israeli attack on Doha as a rash and reckless reaction. He criticized Netanyahu’s government, highlighting its attempts to escape accountability through violence. Dr. Sari noted that many Israelis oppose Netanyahu’s actions and desire an end to the conflict. He emphasized Qatar’s pivotal role in advancing the peace process, both regionally and globally.
