Doha: Advisor to the Prime Minister and Foreign Ministry Spokesperson has confirmed that negotiations regarding Gaza are still ongoing, with negotiation teams remaining in Doha.

According to Qatar News Agency, the official spokesperson expressed Qatar’s condemnation of Israeli policies in the region, labeling them as irresponsible actions that threaten regional security. He emphasized that the Israeli activities breach principles of sovereignty and good neighborliness, urging the international community to take action against such behavior.

In line with directives from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has arrived at Aleppo International Airport in Syria. This move is part of Qatar’s efforts in firefighting operations in Latakia and delivering urgent humanitarian aid, showcasing Qatar’s commitment to supporting Syria amid disasters.

The spokesperson also shared that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani recently spoke to Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker. They discussed cooperation and regional developments, with the Prime Minister affirming Qatar’s dedication to de-escalating tensions and promoting stability in the region. Efforts include facilitating a ceasefire in Gaza and enabling humanitarian aid access.

Furthermore, HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi received a call from Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, discussing bilateral cooperation. During a European tour, he met with officials from North Macedonia and Italy, highlighting Qatar’s diplomatic engagements.

Qatar also participated in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 in Rome, led by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad. The conference focused on reconstruction support for Ukraine. The Minister reiterated Qatar’s commitment to mediating efforts to reunite Ukrainian families affected by the crisis and supporting international peace efforts.
