Doha: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi engaged in discussions with Mohammed bin Awad Al Hassan, the Special Representative of the United Nations (UN) Secretary General for Iraq and Head of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), focusing on the collaborative efforts in aiding Iraq. The dialogue also extended to several other regional and international matters.

According to Qatar News Agency, Albudaiwi emphasized the positions laid out in the final statement from the 163rd session of the GCC Ministerial Council. He reiterated the GCC’s commitment to supporting Iraq’s pursuit of security and stability, highlighting the critical importance of maintaining Iraq’s safety, territorial integrity, and full sovereignty.
